The project involved the provision of en-suite student accommodation at ground, first and second floors in the Northern and Eastern blocks of New Square Trinity college. The building was originally constructed circa 1840 under the supervision of architect Frederick Darley. The building provides approximately 5000m2 of accommodation in two blocks.
The works involved the removal of alterations carried out in the 1960s, structural assessment of existing floor structures, specification for repairs and strengthening, structural assessment of existing stone cantilevered staircases and provision of new services throughout.
